The School

Our TESOL center in Paris helps you find these places. For all those who like it quiet, Paris offers tranquil moments in world-famous museums and in many of their beautiful parks and gardens.

Accommodated in a beautifully maintained, classical building, the Paris TESOL training center features large, modern classrooms equipped with all the amenities TESOL trainees need to enjoy a comfortable and effective learning experience. Besides access to a copy machine and a printer, Paris TESOL students may also use wireless Internet with laptop computers.

The students TESOL trainees will teach during their TESOL course are locals or visitors to Paris who come from all parts of the world.

Accommodation

Paris offers a wide range of accommodation to suit different lifestyles and budgets. Our training centre suggests one of the following options:

Home Stay

In order to offer students the best possible choice of home stays, we have formed a partnership with a professional hosting company. With this option you will have a furnished room in central Paris with a shared kitchen and bathroom. Prices for a room with breakfast start at 760 Euros for the duration of the course.

Private Residence

In the vicinity of the school (1 to 5 minutes walking distance) there are several college-run, private apartments for rent. Most of them are twin studios: one room with 2 single beds + kitchen and bathroom. Prices are around 800 Euros per person per month (double occupancy) or 1200 Euros (single occupancy) including electricity, heating, internet and insurance.

Private Room

You also have the option of renting a private room in a Parisian apartment for the duration of the course. They usually come with internet access and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Prices start at 850 Euros per month.

Student Housing

Located close to the subway and many shops, this very affordable option comes with hot water, fridge, hot plate and bed with linen provided. Shower and toilet are shared. Student houses are completely self-sufficient and start at 300 Euros per month including heating and water.

Hostel Accommodation

There are many hostels in the area which offer self-catering facilities, usually with shared kitchen and bathrooms. Hostels usually provide a TV room, internet access and some have phones in the rooms. En-suite accommodation is available in a number of hostels at an extra charge. Prices start around 22 Euros per night in a multiple-bed dorm.

Many TESOL course participants prefer to organize their own accommodation for their stay in Paris. However, if you would rather have the help of a local expert, we can provide a housing coordinator to assist you. The housing coordinator charges 135 Euros and guarantees the choice of at least three different options.

  • What are my payment options?

    Course deposits must be paid to our administrative center. Credit/debit card payments are the fastest and cheapest way to pay, but we also accept payments via Western Union, Pay Pal and bank transfer. While there are no deadlines for a deposit, courses can fill up quickly and your seat will only be reserved after the deposit has been paid.

    Once you make your deposit, you will receive an email with an informational packet that provides detailed information about the course and Paris itself.

    You will also receive an invoice with payment instructions. It will be sent to you ahead of time, so you can comfortably go ahead and make your balance payment on time. If for any reason, your payment is received after the due date of five business days before the course starts, a late payment fee of 75 euro applies in addition to the tuition fee outlined in the invoice.

    Fees are all-inclusive so you won’t be asked to pay additional costs for course related materials or services. This also includes course moderation, accreditation fees and lifetime job assistance.

  • What travel documents will I need for paris?

    All visitors to France are required to carry a passport valid for at least six months after their arrival date. Citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa can obtain a 3-month (90-day) tourist visa upon arrival in France. All other trainees need to contact their nearest French consulate to clarify their French visa status.*

  • What is the course schedule?

    The course is a fairly intense, challenging and rewarding experience. Classes generally begin at 9:30 a.m. and run until 7:00 p.m. on days when teaching practice is scheduled, or around 5:00 p.m. when no teaching practice has been arranged. You will be provided with the exact schedule upon commencement of the course.

  • What can I expect during teaching practice?

    Our practice students are adults, mostly from the local area. They usually stay on from course to course and form good relationships with our trainees and staff.

  • Who usually attends the course?

    On average we have around 12 students for each program. They come from all over the world and are typically between 22 and 50 years old.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Expand

    During trainees’ lessons, casual attire is allowed. During teaching practice, you will need to dress in trousers/skirts and closed-toe shoes. Men need collared shirts, while women need to wear conservative tops that cover their shoulders. Men also need to shave or keep facial hair neatly trimmed. No visible tattoos or facial piercings are allowed while teaching local students.

  • What should I bring for course studies?

    Please be sure to arrive on the first day of the course with a notebook and a pen. We also encourage you to bring a laptop as we have Wi-Fi at the training center. We will provide all course materials for you so there is no need to bring anything else for the course itself.
