Question tag

Question tags are often used in speaking and we usually use them when we are unsure of something and would like confirmation (or otherwise) of what we are saying. They come after the information we are confirming. If the statement we are checking uses an auxiliary verb then the question tag uses that verb also. An example could be “You have eaten lunch already, haven’t you?”
