Problem-Based Learning
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an instructional approach where students learn through solving complex, real-world problems. In PBL, students work in collaborative groups to identify what they need to learn to address the problem, research and gather information, and propose and evaluate solutions. This method encourages critical thinking, self-directed learning, and the application of knowledge in practical contexts. In language education, PBL can involve scenarios that require communication, negotiation, and use of the target language to solve problems, thereby promoting active and meaningful language use.
