NET (Native English Teacher)

A Native English Teacher (NET) is an educator whose first language is English and who teaches English as a foreign or second language. NETs are often employed in countries where English is not the primary language to provide students with authentic language exposure, native pronunciation models, and cultural insights. Programs like the NET Scheme in Hong Kong and similar initiatives in South Korea and Japan aim to improve English language education by placing native speakers in classrooms. NETs bring valuable perspectives and contribute to the development of students' language skills and cultural understanding.
