Natural Order Hypothesis

One of the five hypotheses developed in Krashen’s second language acquisition theory (SLA). Whilst Krashen acknowledged that English language knowledge, such as grammar, did appear to be learned in some order, he noted that this should not be used as a structural basis for teaching.
