Listening Comprehension

Listening comprehension is the ability to understand spoken language, including recognizing words, phrases, and structures, as well as interpreting meaning, intent, and context. It is a critical skill in language learning and involves both bottom-up processing (decoding sounds and words) and top-down processing (using background knowledge and context). Developing listening comprehension requires exposure to a variety of listening materials, such as conversations, lectures, and media, along with activities that promote active listening, such as note-taking, summarizing, and answering questions.
