Jigsaw Activity
A jigsaw activity is a cooperative learning technique where students are divided into small groups, and each group is assigned a different part of a topic to learn and become "experts" on. After studying their respective sections, the groups reassemble into new groups with one "expert" from each original group. Each expert then teaches their section to the new group members. This method encourages active learning, collaboration, and information sharing, and it helps students develop comprehension and communication skills in the target language. Jigsaw activities are effective for integrating content learning with language practice, promoting both cognitive and social development.
