ICQ (Instruction Checking Questions)
Instruction Checking Questions (ICQs) are questions that teachers use to verify that students have understood instructions for a task or activity. ICQs help ensure that learners know what is expected of them before they begin working. For example, after explaining an activity, a teacher might ask, "Do we write or speak for this task?" or "How many sentences do you need to write?" Effective use of ICQs can prevent misunderstandings, save time, and improve the overall efficiency of classroom activities.
