These additional courses are conducted by independent organisations at training centers in various parts of the world. The contents of these two courses are outlined below. CertTESOL is an internationally recognised professional teaching qualification that is common in the field of teaching English as a foreign or second language. The course is designed for potential teachers with little or no classroom experience and is therefore considered an entry level qualification in English language teaching. CertTESOL courses can be taken in a variety of locations as they are individually organised and designed by different language institutes worldwide. Each of these course providers is regulated and certified by Trinity College, London. DipTESOL is an internationally recognised professional teaching qualification that is designed for teachers with some experience in the classroom. This certificate is widely considered to be a follow up to the CertTESOL certificate and is often taken by teachers in order to update and improve their existing English language teaching skills. The course is split into four sections and is assessed through a combination of examinations, coursework and in class assessment. The DipTESOL certificate is seen as equal to the DELTA certificate due to the similarity in the course syllabus; however, there are some differences in the moderation and assessment of each course.
