  The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a system designed by the council of Europe to provide a standardized method of comparing levels of language proficiency represented by the different examinations and assessments throughout Europe and other areas. The system can be used in conjunction with any European language and divides proficiency into six separate levels. Each level of the framework has a description of the abilities needed to achieve that level in speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. Group Dynamics I have always been fascinated by social dynamics and how they affect groups in personal and professional contexts. A teacher must be constantly aware of group dynamics while teaching. The Role of the Teacher If only the role of a teacher was as easy as being a ‘medium through which students learn’. In today’s day and age, no matter what country the role takes place in, a teacher is so much more than a resource for information. When I was young, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up, simply because I wanted to write on the chalkboard!
