Unit 19 covered the teaching of special groups. We began with the teaching of beginners and covered their motivations, tips for teaching beginners (methodology, technique and potential problems). We then moved onto the teaching of individual students, and this segment included suggestions, suitable activities, whether to use homework and the importance of being prepared beforehand. Next we discussed the differences when teaching children, and this section focused on the classroom and lesson itself, discipline/management and a few dos and don'ts. Finally we covered business English (which included an example of a needs analysis form) and English for multilingual classes.
