For this unit the topic is about managing the classroom. Varying factors come into play when learning how to manage a classroom but there are still some details that should remain consistent. A teacher's attitude should be positive and knowing how to balance teacher talk time versus student talk time are a couple examples of concepts that are consistent when it comes to teaching. On the other hand, details such as how many students and the personality of the students are factors that differ classroom to classroom and should be taken into consideration when figuring out how to seat them and manage the lessons day by day.
Because I worked as a tutor for 2 years the concepts discussed in this unit were a review for me rather than learning new material. As I was reading the information I could also pinpoint numerous examples in my mind of how my primary school teachers and college professors have managed their classrooms.
