In this chapter there was a focus on teaching speaking and writing. When learning a foreign language, one of the most important parts would be speaking. It is important to give students as many opportunities to speak in english as they can, as they may not get many opportunities outside of the classroom. I liked the idea of using discussions or role plays to help get students talking and trying out speaking English. On the other hand, writing may be more difficult to teach. I feel that a good way to help teach writing would be to make interesting prompts such as writing fiction or diary entries.
