This unit covers several important grammar points including modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. These aspects allow ESL students to understand the subtlety of the English language. The teaching ideas regarding modals in the text such as role play, rules and signs are great examples to be adapted in my future classes. For the role play exercise, I would ask my students to form in pair to play a doctor and a patient regarding taking medications. Through the exercise, the students will learn various usages of different modals to express advice, obligation and suggestion. I will correct their mistakes and explain the correct usages.
