There were a lot of great, specific examples about passively steering the mood within the classroom, depending on the activity and the students' abilities. I especially liked the instruction about how to avoid a lot of common misbehavior among a class, such as varying the instruction with different pairs or groups, and also keeping in mind the boredom of the class or that some individual students might be struggling with self-esteem. I found the breakdown of the benefits of individual attention, in particular that it helps the students with low self-esteem and confidence. The tips about avoiding turning the back to the class also gave me some great ideas.
