Unit 5 gives an overview of the classroom management as it relates to the eye contact, gesturing and the voices. It also notes to use the students name at the end of asking a question. It talks about making to much direct contact can be a bad thing. There are three types of grouping of students in a class, whole-class, pairwork and students working on their own. Each of these groupings have their pros and cons, and it is imperative that the teacher is aware of them so that they chose the correct grouping for their situation. There are 3 ways to setup a room, orderly rows, horseshoes and separate tables. Each lends to different teaching experiences for both the teacher and the student. And last, the unit touched on how to respond to problem behavior in the classroom. These are not inclusive of all of the points in this unit, but just some highlighted pieces of information that I duly noted.
