This unit taught the five main conditionals forms of grammar, in addition to the intricacies of reported speech, either directly or indirectly. Conditionals contain an \"If\" statement, either in the first or second clause, that contains the condition that must be meet for the consequence stated in the other clause to occur.
The reporting of speech entails the relaying of a statement, either in the present or past tense, that another person has said. If the statement is reported tin the present tense, direct speech is used - the original wording is repeated. If the statement is reported the past tense (indirect speech), several changes in structure must occur to the question word, the verb and to the tense.
