In this unit I learnt about the efficiency and effectiveness of different teaching equipment and teaching aids. I learnt how and for what purposes they could be used in the class. They range from white boards and overhead projectors, Visuals and worksheets, Cassette Recorders and Video Players to Dictionaries and Computers. The teacher must use them from time to time in the classroom depending upon the teachers comfort and must be aware of the drawbacks of each and have counter strategies in case resources such as projectors, cassette recorders and Videos or DVDs do not work. Every teacher need to invest their time and energy into preparing for their use in class.
