In this lesson I learned about the materials that teachers use in the classroom. We use a wide variety of teaching materials, from chalk, the whiteboard, worksheets, video and cassette players, all the way to the coursebook. The coursebook seems to be the trickiest of all the materials. It can really help beginner teachers like me format a course and save us a lot of time in lesson planning, since the framework is already made and oftentimes the worksheets come in an accompanying student workbook. However, we should not become complacent and lazy, nor should we let coursebooks completely dictate the lessons.
