This unit mainly talks about techniques of teaching productive skills (speaking and writing). Speaking can be taught through controlled activities, guided activities and creative communication, where the former two are accuracy-based and the latter is fluency-based. When teaching writing skills, the teacher should not only examine the grammar and vocabulary usage but also teach appropriate handwriting, layout and punctuation as well as spelling rules.
I find the list of games in the end of this unit very practical, since games can create stimulation in a classroom and motivate the students in a relaxing manner.
