Of course pronunciation is one of the most important part of the learning. I think it is very important for the teacher to understand this mechanisms and if it might not be so important to remember all the vocabulary and therms of a mouth diagram, at least recognizing the different parts of the mouth and their actions during a speech, as well as the different ways to use these parts are very important to teach.
The teacher should create a simpler vocabulary for the learners when engaging with the lesson, like using wind instruments or playing games that involve the student to block the usage of a part of their mouth (Nose, throat, teeth, tongue, ...) and to notice the difference when pronouncing certain words.
