This unit was very effective in teaching many components of classroom management. I learned that body language (eyes, voice and gestures)is extremely important in effectively teaching, as is helps to create a presence with your students and conveys much meaning. The groupings of the students is very important to the comfort level of the students, and helps to develop their learning as individuals, in small groups, and as part of the large community. Its also very important to maintain a respectful tone in the classroom, so that the students know that they are respected and that they must, in turn, respect the teacher. This was an excellent unit.
