This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Before reading this unit I had no idea there were so many theories/methodologies of teaching a language. The conclusion though seems to be to encourage students to discover the language independently, give input when necessary while minimizing the stress anxiety in learning a new language. There are 3 stages to a lesson: Engage, Study and activate; engage serves as an \"ice-breaker\" or introduction to the lesson to \"hook\" the student's interest. Study is where the focus is on the language construction etc. and the activate stage is where the student is encouraged to use the new information as well as old while focusing more on fluency.
