This unit focuses on the grammar of English, more specifically on the tense system, as it represents one of the main obstacles students have troubles overcome. Every EFL teacher should have a solid knowledge of the English tense system, which includes three main tenses: present, past and future (Each time comprehends 4 aspects: simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous.) and when teaching should always consider the following aspects: the form (affirmative, negative or questions, the usage of a certain sentence or grammar structure, predictable students' errors, and should also be able to active teaching ideas in order to encourage and strengthen the learning process. The tenses presented in this unit are: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous in all their forms, aspects and irregularities.
