This was an interesting unit. Being able to see first hand the way a lesson was structured first badly and then very well was good. It was quite obvious from the start that the first lesson was the example of the 'wrong' way to do it and you could see from the reaction of the students from the very start that they felt confused but unable or discouraged from saying anything because of his attitude. In the second lesson it again changed from the very start when he smiled and welcomed them and immediately started to try and build rapport by asking their names and then attempting to say them properly. He also used the word 'game' from the start which set the tone of lesson to be more fun and engaging than the first.
