It was interesting seeing the difference with the teacher and students in the two videos. In the first video the teacher seems forceful and intimidating. The teacher kept saying this lesson is easy and they would like it, but never explained what he was wanting to teach. He quickly started to berate the students with the same question and made the students less willing to speak up. The second lesson was more welcoming for the students. The Teacher had a smile on his face, started them off with something that the class already knows, and tried to build rapport with them. The teacher would say something was not quite right instead of using the term wrong. An environment with a more easy going atmosphere will encourage students more to interact than repeating the same question over and over again. Having visual cues can also help students to understand and grasp what they are needing to learn.
