In this unit I learnt about phonics and its pronunciation. I learnt the phonemic alphabet and what they sound like.
This unit covers pronunciation of words how to pronounce words using the universal phonemic alphabet and how to recognize the symbols used. It also covered the stress in a sentence where it is placed and how the sentence should be interpreted depending the placement of the stress.
Later in the unit I came across examples of ways I could teach phonics to my students.
There was also a section on articulations which explained anatomically which organs were used to produce which sounds.
