This unit covered the subjects of conditionals and reported speech, particularly how the selected words change when using different conditionals and reporting speech. It also reviewed how students will easily mix up which tenses to use in the various situations and provided some ideas for teaching these concepts, emphasizing that these things need to be taught slowly so as to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. These concepts were mostly new to me, though of course I use them in practice. It was especially helpful to see the diagrams and graphs referring to reported speech and the changes in tenses needed for accuracy in these cases.
