Once more, I realized that a good teacher needs to develop interpesonnal skills and good qualities! It is not only about teaching but managing a classroom. Managing a classroom involves eyes contact, gesture, voice, grouping students, classroom arrangement etc. They hold the attention of the students. Every student student is important. It is good to know the name of the learners. It helps to organise an activity, to get their attention and to acknowledge them. As teachers, we are called to teach, to talk. I understood that it is better for a teacher to talk only when necessary (presenting, checking,modelling, clarifying, providing language input, giving instructions,setting up activities, establishing rapport).
