The unit clearly depicts a real life situation in an ESL teaching learning environment with one being an ideal standard from where most successful ESL teachers have exhaled and the other being sub or non standard. However, we as ESL teachers or would be ones need these videos in order to get a clue of what actually happens in a real classroom situation, and judge by our own standards which one needs amendments and which needs strengthening. It's therefore obvious that the same teacher happens to teach both lessons with the intent of actually contrasting two classroom learning situations. In the first he is less engaging; his voice quality is poor; a teacher centered lessons where he does everything from talking with little or no time for student participation. And in the second, he is more engaging with good voice quality, there by making his lesson a learner centered one, and which sparks active participation and excitement from his students. And he achieves his lesson objectives by the end of it.
