Pretty much the same as the present tense but with past verbs. To catch the tense it is important to focus on the auxiliary verbs to see if they are in the present \"have\" or in the past \"had\" that is the best indicator of the past. Seems easy but I need to practice, because I feel I can get easily confused with present tenses if I don't pay attention. Concentration is key to distinguish between past perfect and perfect continuous. Also nee to focus more on \"if the action has already finished\" or \"if the action might still be continuing\". After reading and studying this chapter I have a better understanding of the past tenses.
