This unit contained useful reminders about what to keep in mind when teaching grammar and vocabulary. The differences between written and spoken English are becoming more and more obvious in the classroom. You also notice it when reading books sometimes. So it is useful to remember to explain those differences and why they occur, which is because there is a difference between the written and spoken forms of English. I thought the use of function was also interesting. I often think of grammar first and then function, but thinking back to studying French, I know we had lessons on function that then incorporated grammar and vocabulary.
