This lesson loosely relates to the previous grammar lesson, which dealt with present tenses. It offers an overview of past tenses and mentions how their system and structure are similar to those of the present tenses. The unit is very well arranged and gradually introduces all past tenses--simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous. For each tense, there is an explanation on how to form and use it, and everything is supplemented with examples. The most frequent mistakes occurring when forming and using past tenses are mentioned as well. Very useful are instructional ideas to practice this part of grammar with the help of various enjoyable activities.
