Unit 13 talks about pronunciation and the issues relating to pronunciation, It explains terms like intonation, stress, syllables, some techniques that can be used in teaching stress such as: gesture, stress marks, the board etc.
It explains other terms like sound joining, linking etc. it also elaborates on the phonemic symbols like vowel and consonants voiced and unvoiced sounds, articulation of words and sounds using the speech organs like the: labio dental, alveolar, dental etc.
I have learnt that there are different manners of articulation and the manner you used, is based on the information you want to communicate, the speech organs involved and the phonemic symbol.
