Chapter 9 was the most relatable chapter to my life thus far. Apart of my current job is putting together lesson plans for my after school group. This chapter highlighted the importance of how we put together activities for our classes to execute, also the importance of the ESA stages and how unconsciously I was using these stages before I even knew what to refer to them as. Though the lesson plan example was different from the one, which I use I was able to still relate to the layout. A lesson plan regards of the context, be it in a TESOL course or an after school program must serve as not only an outline but an aid to the teacher, a record of what is being done daily and a clear but flexible guide for the class. I am looking forward to challenging myself to putting together a lesson plan for a TESOL course in the future.
