This unit covered evaluation and testing. There are many types of tests that are given for many different purposes. While it is natural for any student to have some level of anxiety about being tested, in the context of learning English it is important to stress that the purpose of testing is to determine what the student needs, at least as far as being in the classroom is concerned. It is not about judgement. This is an important distinction. Anxiety can be mitigated to some extent by asking test-related questions as a natural part of class and through adequate teaching of the subject matter that will be tested. There could be a danger in teaching to test as opposed to teaching for the sake of knowledge, so this is something to be mindful of when planning lessons and integrating testing into a course.
