Going through this unit, I realized that a lot of the information on here holds true to when I was a student. As a kid in school I remember always feeling most comfortable working on my assignments when the teacher wasn't around (when the teacher was usually sitting behind her desk). However, when the teacher would walk around the classroom checking on peoples work, it made me feel a bit uneasy and kind of threw me off focus from my assignments. The teachers position in the classroom definitely had an effect on me.
One of the most helpful topics this unit touched on was how to respond to students problematic behaviors. I've never experienced a situation where a kids behavior became problematic and therefore found this information quite helpful.
