Unit 15 covers the area of Testing and Evaluation. When testing our students their is a number of ways to do so. First we may give a placement test to evaluate where a specific students level of understanding is prior to a English Language course. Also at the first stages of learning English a Diagnostic test may be given to students in regards for specific areas that may need to be targeted in later lessons. Their are a number of ways to monitor what has been remembered, and/or retained. First simply giving progress tests periodically throughout the year to be sure that certain information has stuck, otherwise showing which areas need to have more focus. Practice tests should always modal, and prepare students for upcoming test. As well as external examinations.
