In this unit, I have learned information regarding equipment and teaching aids. There are many different teaching aids that can be employed for the purpose of making a lesson more effective and engaging for the students. Different equipment and aids include: the overhead projector; visual aids; worksheets; video camera; computer; dictionary; textbook; resource book; and photocopier. The board is used most effectively when what is written on it is planned and organized. It is also used effectively by: starting with a clean board; writing neatly; sectioning it off for different areas such as grammar, vocab, etc.; only using the board for necessary or asked-for information; being accurate; using natural writing; involving the students in the process of writing; and cleaning the board when finished.
