Unit 3 was full of information! This unit covered different methodologies of teaching English as a Foreign Language, the difference between mistakes and errors, and how to go about correcting a learner when a mistake or error is made. This unit also introduced the central structure of the TEFL program which is Engage - Study - Activate. We explore just what each of these stages means and activities associated with each of them. We also learned in this lesson 3 different lesson plan structures often used in the TEFL program; Straight Arrow, Boomerang, and Patchwork.
