This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
this was a more difficult unit. something as simply used as conditionals was way more difficult to understand as a leaner and then convey as a teacher. people who are learning english as a second language will struggle with this unit but i believe the advice of taking it slow and one step at a time is beneficial. through the suggested games and drills i think that it will be easier to have students understand the conditionals. the part that helped me is the chart that shows how direst speech gets converted into reported speech. on a base level, i learned that there are 5 conditionals. zero, first, second, third, and mixed. these are all simple to understand as they move from present simple to more past tenses. learning the base forms of the conditional is a great place to begin teaching students this possibly confusing tense.
