They can be used to express obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability and advice. Degrees of formality was also touche on. An example list of auxiliary verbs, their usage, present, future and past tenses were given. Teaching ideas for this language point include role play, rules, and signs. When looking at the passive and active voices, the active voice focuses on the agent while the passive voice places focus on the subject. Tenses and their passive forms were given. Clauses were also explored, mainly defining and non-defining relative clauses.
