This grammar unit is made of 2 distinct parts: Conditionals and Reported Speech. Although I am probably correct in using them both, the reasons and explanations never occurred to me. So that will be very useful when it will come to explain to students.
I am not a native English speaker but I have lived in the UK for 35 years. I am still baffled by how I learned all this without knowing any of the rules detailed in this unit. Food for thoughts in terms of understanding how a language is learned.
