The ESA is an important concept that we must learn. Engage?Study and Activate. It does not need to flow in a straight line method but we can choose a various combination that best suit the situation. Nevertheless we need to start with engage and make sure it ends with activate.
In this unit, many good methods was share such as ideas for engage,study and activate.
We also learn that correction when meted out cannot be too extreme to demoralize the students. It has to be a delicate balance. Some pointers include getting someone else to answer in a subtle way so as not to demoralize the students. But again we need to look at the student behavior at that point of time.
