I think these receptive skills lessons would be some of the most interesting and fun to teach because they often center around a story, or an audio clip or some other topic that would be useful to know in the context of real conversations and situations. One question this unit leaves me with is what kinds of teaching activities are appropriate for different student levels when teaching receptive skills. Obviously the students have to be at a certain reading or listening level to achieve certain tasks, but when are certain receptive skills supposed to be taught? I will research this question further.
