This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In Unit 5 various methods of managing classes were introduced, for example the teachers' body language; grouping students; classroom seating arrangements; suggestions for how to give students attention and instructions; and establishing rapport/discipline.
Many of the things introduced in the unit I feel I have already experienced/learned through my teaching experience, however they were still great tips to know and especially great to keep at hand in a concise list form.
A few things in the unit were new to me, for example my teaching experience were limited to large classes, so I have little experience with rearranging the classroom to smaller seating arrangements (such as circles or horseshoes), I learned the pros and cons of other possible seating arrangements in this unit.
