This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Wow, this was very interesting. The most important things I learned were what not to do in the classroom from the first video. The teacher was uninterested and even looked down upon the students. He spoke fast and as if he were speaking to native speakers, in ways that would run circles around an ESL student. He claimed that things were easy which intimidated students away from answering and he did not monitor them during the study phase. He told them they were wrong when they tried to answer and didn't smile or introduce himself. In the second lesson, he used pictures and gestures to help students, he slowly worked to the focus of the lesson, and let students figure things out for themselves in a relaxed environment. The participation was higher due to his friendly and encouraging attitude too. i want to be more like the teacher n the second video.
