I have learnt about basic principles of lesson planning, reasons why lessons need to be planned and how to write a practical lesson plan that can be used in the classroom. A lesson plan should include learner objectives (what we want our students to learn by the end of the lesson), personal aims (what I want to improve about my teaching), language point, teaching aids (materials), procedure, phase, timing, anticipated problems, interaction at each stage, class level and number of students. When writing a lesson plan teachers should be prepared to make changes according to the situation in the classroom.
