This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I've only dealt with children up to middle school so far so what I learned was mostly from how to deal with older, more business minded clients. Besides some of the more common sense things (dressing/speaking formally upon first arrival), I found that knowing a little about what they do to help elicit interest in the lessons was a good take-away. I understand you shouldn't talk about clients with their co-workers, or have favorites, or use some of their work samples as examples. The use of a needs form is a fantastic idea, and I hope to work for older learners, so this is a great piece of advice!
