The tense system causes a certain dilemma for the student because there are certain rules to be followed but as they say with practice comes perfection. It is more practical for an EFL teacher to consider that there are three different times in English mainly the past, the present and the future. This unit deals with the present tense and its forms, usages, errors made by the students and teaching ideas. The four present tenses are:
1) Present simple: He/she works.
2)Present Continuous : He/ She is eating.
3)Present Perfect: They have returned.
4) Present Perfect Continuous: They have been playing.
